LIGHTING RIG INSTALLATION

Lindow Primary School

The Project Brief

Lindow Primary school is a thriving local community school based in Wilmslow. The school’s outstanding reputation has resulted in recent growth, and they now cater for over 200 children.

Piranha AV were contacted by the school and asked to install a fully integrated lighting system which featured stage lights, for their forthcoming Christmas events.

The Piranha Solution

The lighting system installed features a lighting bar with the latest colour-changing LED lamps and some traditional stage lamps which allow for spotlighting during assemblies and performances.

A data projector was hung from the lighting bar, creating integration between the visual systems installed and meeting the clients requirements.

In order to ensure ease-of-use, Piranha provided a simple controller which allows the operator to recall pre-set lighting scenes. The controller itself features a disco mode with a built-in microphone for music, which will trigger the lights to flash in time to the music being played.

Due to the nature of the setting, health and safety remained a key concern throughout the project. The risk assessment and method statement provided were both written specifically for this installation and avoided any generic terminology or references, and the scaffold tower used was built by fully-certified technicians.

In order that staff all felt comfortable with using the new system, Piranha provided a training session, open to all staff.

Lindow Primary school were very pleased with the finished installation and felt it really added something to their christmas performance.

This customised and fully-integrated Audio Visual solution was delivered within the specified time period and met each of the clients specific requirements.
